I’m writing this on what feels like is literally the first day of summer. This time last year the weather was fantastic, but it’s been nothing like that this year. It’s been an absolute shambles. Rain, rain, rain literally all the time, and although we’ve been able to cope with it, it’s just one of those things that properly brings down your mood.
Now that the sun has appeared, it’s got me inspired to look at things differently and to consider how I can refresh a few different things in my life.
Let’s kick things off by talking through a few of the things I’ve got on my wishlist after such nice weather.
1. Office speakers
I’ve been thinking about this one for some time and I feel as though it’s an absolutely essential additional element to add to my personal office space. I need some good one, just like I used to have in my old office when I used to work in a music studio. It will feel like a whole new world once I head in there and face a wall of bass.
2. A watch
I really haven’t decided on what kind of watch that I want, but I’m absolutely certain that I’ve got to the point where I want to have something on my wrist. My wife went and got herself an Apple Watch for her birthday and although I wouldn’t say that I’m jealous of it, I do really like the idea of being able to accessorise with something subtle like that. Plus – there are so many options in terms of Apple watch straps out there these days, so I can keep switching it up as often as I want.

3. More weights
I mentioned in an earlier post how I made a big mistake a request I made for Christmas, but it’s really time that I boost things up with my workouts and it’s essential that I go out and get some better equipment to work with. Some of my weights have actually split, so I need to get them sorted out.
4. Grass seed
I know this sounds ridiculous, but I’ve really become obsessed with making my garden better over the past year. I’m really not happy with the state of it yet, but I’m definitely going to get there soon. All I need to do is make sure that I go and fill in all of the empty gaps with a bit of compost and grass seed and I’ll be sorted. Grass seed, unfortuantely, costs quite a bit when you end up planting it in the way I have been lately. I need better technique!
