So my wife has decided to do something drastic. She’s struggled with her weight for as long as she can remember, but has decided that this year is the year that she does something major to change things. She’s going on a diet. But she really means it this time. She’s 30+ so has tried loads of things in the past, but gave up on it for a while ago.
She’s lost weight with lots of different things in the past and went through a phase where she wasn’t really interested in losing weight at all. Now that she’s got two kids and sometimes feels like she can’t really keep up with them in the way that she did in the past, she wants to really get her stuff together and make it her mission to shed a lot of weight.
My wife has opted for a keto diet to fix her problems and I really have a lot of faith in her. I feel bad that I can’t really support her much more than being there to talk her through things, but she’s really going for it.
In her first week she somehow managed to get rid of 15 pounds. That’s crazy. Over a whole stone in one week, thanks to a diet of 600 calories and a lot of water. If she can get results like that and was actually able to lose a further stone over the course of her first week, I feel like there’s nothing that can stop her. She just needs to keep on at it and hopefully she’ll get to her goal.
My wife hasn’t actually got a specific weight or dress size in mind for her future, but just knows that she wants to be healthier and feel better.
A really funny way that my wife is getting through all of this is by watching this show on Quest Red (a channel that I had never heard of before) called 600-lb Life. It’s a show all about people that weigh over 600lbs and are attempting to get in a condition where they’re eligible to receive weight loss surgery.
It’s on literally every day and we record it so that we can watch it on catch-up if we’re ever not able to watch it.
I’m really proud of what my wife aims to do and what she’s been able to achieve already. She hasn’t touched a single thing beyond her diet, and is faced by temptation at literally every turn in her life. She’s got this!
