I try to avoid YouTubers at all costs, because I’ve had some bad experiences. When I say “bad experiences”, I mean that I’ve lost an awful lot of time getting invested into characters that I have no business caring about. I have my own life, so why would I spend so much time watching someone else’s?

But this is really different.

YouTube randomly recommended this video to me that took me by surprise. The thumbnail and title was enough to grab me. I saw that it was a video about a construction entrepreneur and, although that wouldn’t usually interest me, the fact that he was black and I sensed he was English, it really grabbed me.

Two minutes in and I was absolutely hooked. This guy is a beast and he has created his own empire. Although I have absolutely no interest in entering into this market whatsoever, I found so many similarities between his story and what I plan to do way into the future once I’ve been able to build up my funds and invest in all different things.

I just wanted to talk about it because just subscribing to the channel alone doesn’t feel like I’m supporting him enough. He’s really doing something noble by giving people a glimpse into the life of someone that does the things he does – overseeing an aggregates, construction and concrete supplier.

It makes me realise just how much opportunity there is on YouTube for people to simply put themselves out there and expose the world to professions and industries that they otherwise wouldn’t be able to get to see much of (unless it was a random show on TV every few years).

Everyone should subscribe.
